How to Use Morra · 3 of 8

Practice Module

The Practice module is where you build your GMAT skills question by question. Every session is adaptive — the app tracks your performance and adjusts difficulty in real time to keep you in the optimal challenge zone.

A) Starting a Session

Click Practice in the sidebar. Before starting, configure your session using the filters on the left panel:

  • Section — Choose Quantitative, Verbal, or Data Insights. Mixing sections in one session is not recommended; focused section work builds skills faster.
  • Topics & Subtopics — Drill a specific area (e.g. Critical Reasoning → Weaken, or Quant → Inequalities). Leave blank to pull from the full section pool.
  • Difficulty — Select one or more difficulty bands. See the difficulty comparison table below.
  • Question Source — Choose which pool to draw from: Unattempted (default — questions you have never seen), Previously Incorrect (questions you got wrong), or Previously Correct (questions you already answered correctly — useful for retention review).
  • Question Count — 10 questions is a focused drill; 20–30 is a full practice set.
  • Time per Question — Slider from 0:30 to 5:00 per question (default 2:00). Total session time is calculated automatically from count × time per question.
  • Show answers immediately — Toggle on to see explanations after each question (learning mode). Toggle off to simulate test conditions (exam mode).

B) Morra vs Official GMAT Difficulty Scale

Morra uses a 7-tier difficulty scale tied to GMAT total score ranges. The official GMAT labels questions simply as Easy / Medium / Hard internally. Here is how they map:

Morra Difficulty Tier Official GMAT Label
Sub 505 Easy
505–555 Easy
555–605 Medium
605–655 Medium
655–705 Hard
705–805 Hard
805+ Hard

C) During a Session

  • After submitting an answer, review the step-by-step explanation to understand where your reasoning went right or wrong.
  • Bookmark questions you want to revisit later. Bookmarked questions are visible in the session summary and in the Review module.
  • The timer in the top bar tracks time per question and total session time.
  • Strike out answer choices by right-clicking them. Eliminated choices are dimmed to help you focus on remaining candidates. Available in Practice, Review, Question Bank, and Skill Drills.

D) After a Session

The session summary shows your accuracy by difficulty band, average time per question, and a full question-by-question breakdown. Review every wrong answer before starting another session — this is where the real learning happens.

E) Question Pool Stats

Above the Question Source selector you will see a live count of your question pool for the current section, topic, and subtopic selection:

  • Attempted — Questions you have answered at least once (any answer, correct or not).
  • Unattempted — Questions you have never answered. The "Unattempted" source filter draws from this pool.

The count updates automatically whenever you change section, topics, or subtopics.

F) Resetting Attempted Questions

Inside the stats box there is a Reset attempted questions button. When confirmed, every question reverts to unattempted status — the "Unattempted" source filter will include all questions again, and the "Previously Correct" and "Previously Incorrect" filters will return empty.

Your past session data, error tags, notes, and bookmarks are not deleted. You can still open old sessions from the Review page and see your full history. The reset only affects which questions Morra considers new going forward.

Use this at the start of a new study cycle when you want to go through the full question bank fresh.
